Minehead (home)
WATFORD (Owen) 1
EXETER CITY 0
Saturday November 7th at Watford.
Watford:- Goy; Nicholas, Jones; Welbourne, Mancini, Houghton; George, Oliver, Saunders, McAnearney, Owen.
Exeter City:- Shearing; Smyth, Patrick; Mitchell, Harvey, Anderson; Welsh, Rees, Curtis, Hancock, Ley.
Referee:- Mr P.Rhodes of York.
The game at Vicarage-road, Watford, was a good one to watch but no good from the viewpoint of City fans who want to see their side climb the table. The City had plenty of the game and played some very good football, but this was yet another match which underlined their need for more strength in the forward line. Without Banks, still laid up with his foot injury, the forward line seems to have nobody to inspire them, and nobody with the scoring touch to finish off the chances they make.

Les MacDonald played his second game since being injured two months ago in his bid to make a come-back, and he came through without mishap. The City Reserves had a fair share of the play territorially but their finishing was very poor.
