Match 43
22nd March 1965
Workington (h)

EXETER CITY 0 WORKINGTON 0

MONDAY MARCH 22ND 1965 AT ST JAMES'S PARK.

Against a side with such a poor defensive record as Workington, it was hoped that the City would get a few goals. But in the end it was the wet and slippery conditions that got the better of both teams. At the game as a spectator was Alan Banks, without his crutches. He left the ground unaided, and was busy for about ten minutes signing autographs outside the Well-street entrance.
