The biggest crowd of the season at Ladysmead Road witnessed an entertaining game between Exeter and District League champions Tiverton Town and Exeter City. The game raised about £40 for the Tiverton Hospital League of Friends. The Mayoress of Tiverton kicked the game off, and at half time tiverton were trailing 2-1 after scoring the first goal through Lee. They had to wait until City were leading 6-1 before they got another when White scored. Exeter eventually ran out 7-2 winners, but the Town side were playing some neat football at times and never gave up against the overwhelming odds.
