City Two Goals Up
THEN BURY STEAL A POINT

Saturday August 27th 1977.

St James's Park, attendance 5,236.

EXETER CITY 2 BURY 2.

Exeter City lost a two goals advantage at St James's Park today in their first home match in the Third Division for thirteen years. With twenty minutes to go they were 2-0 up against Bury, but then the Lancashire side struck back to score twice within the space of a minute to steal a point.

Exeter's goals came in the first half through Hodge and Kellow and at this stage they seemed to be well on their way to their second successive League victory. Then came the Bury scoring burst after Hodge had been carried off and later taken to hospital for observation for concussion. Hodge had received the full blast of the ball in his face in the tenth minute of the second half and was substituted by Robertson.
