Donald McDonald
City lost 2-0 to a strong Torquay side that included a liberal sprinkling of first team players in a Macbar Reserve League game at Torquay United on Tuesday 26th October 1987.
(Young-look City played well in holding them out for the first hour before Mark Gardiner put Torquay ahead and Gerry Nardiello wrapped it up with a disputed second goal)
City included two trialists. Tall teenaged striker Darren Webb from Leicester is back training with the club and 19-year-old Scot Donald McDonald, in the RAF and stationed near Reading, took leave to play on the right wing after being recommended to City.
