The star of this game was undoubtedly the City's new winger, Steve Neville, from Southampton. He made a few mistakes, but his performance was a big improvement on his showing at Swansea, and he demonstrated that he has the pace and skill to run rings round the best defenders. Now he has settled into the City's style of play he will develop into an outstanding forward and will no doubt repay his transfer fee many times over.
