March 16: Playing at Tranmere on Friday night (floodlights) against the Rovers Exeter City squandered a lead of two goals given them by Sims and Roberts. On a bitterly cold evening with snow and sleet in ever-increasing torrents Exeter faltered towards the end. Kerr got Tranmere's first goal after 71 minutes and Palios their second with the last kick of the match. Attendance 984.
March 17: Exeter City Reserves after having the best of the game were unable to score, and were beaten by Clandown, for whom Brimble got the only goal of the match in the 15th minute.
