League
Cope Chat (Away)
MATCH REPORT
COPE CHAT 2 EXETER 2
(LEAGUE)
We travelled away to Cope Chat for our second league game of the season with open minds as to the result, with Cope Chat fielding the majority of Players now playing first team football, this proved to be a very unrewarding game for us. The referee was unable to keep the game under control and the players allowed their emotions to get the better of them. Although we managed to have more than half of the game in our favour, we made mistakes and did not put away our chances. Cope Chat played well and did not at any time allow us to get our game together. The first half saw us coming off with a goal each, ours having been scored by a very good move from Annie taking the ball to the by line and putting a hard long cross over and Julie T, taking a the opportunity to open her goal scoring account with a well taken shot.
The second half was full of incidents and saw Cope Chat take the lead, still we kept plugging and through hassle and persistance Cope Chat made an error and brought down Annie in the penalty area, Annie made no mistake and evened the score by taking the penalty. We travelled home with many injuries and felt as though we were on a slow boat to China, still we managed to keep amused.
Individual Match Award ---JULIE COSTELLO.
