MATCH REPORT
ILLOGAN 2 EXETER 0
(W.F.A CUP 2nd ROUND REPLAY)
After our heart warming performance against Illogan at home we travelled down to Cornwall with hope that we will be able to pull off a good win and go forward to play Exeter Rangers in the next round. How wrong we were, our game was, to say the least disappointing. In the first half we suffered an early blow with Debbie having an ankle injury, however we played on with few chances and finished the first half 1-0 down.
The second half was no better, no matter what we did it was not going to be our game. Things got worse we just could not get our game, together, players became frustrated and although we had good part of the game game, nothing seemed to click. The referee got more and more biased as the game went on and awarded a penalty 5 mins from the end. There was no way we could fight back and were only too relieved when the final whistle blew.
The trip back was enjoyable and after analysing the game I am sure alot of the players will be hoping to get back onto the pitch to put over that we are out of this particular cup, but certainly not down.
