MATCH REPORT

KEYNSHAM 2 VEXETER 1 (LEAGUE)

This was only the second game in which we have lost points within the league this season. Although wintry conditions the pitch was in a reasonable state, although boggy in the center. We didn't settle well and made very hard work of the first half, alot of our thinking did not come off. 

Although with 10 mins to go we started at last to put moves together, in fact one of these led to our goal. With pressure on the Keynsham goal and two defenders, both going for the same ball, it fumbled and Julie T. took an opportunist chance and scored to open the score sheet.

We came out in the seconed half and never really got back into the game, we allowed Keynsham to control the play and they took their chances well, scoring after 15 mins. We had a chance to get back in the game when we were awarded a penalty, but unfortunately it was when not to be. Annie took the penalty and the keeper got down to it well and made a fine save.

Keynsham were lifted by this and we began to make mistakes, Keynsham again took their chance and took the lead. With the final score 2-1 for Keynsham and two points won.

We hopefully have learnt from this game and can improve our next performance.
