Ladies take it in style
EXETER Ladies FC have won the Women's Western Football League title for the first time.
They clinched the championship yesterday with a 7-0 win over Newport LFC to beat reigning champions Cardiff LFC by two clear points. And they did it in typical flowing Exeter style with fast attacking football that had their Welsh opponents mesmerised. Leading scorer Annie Hesketh cracked in five goals and long serving striker Bridget Thomas notched the other two.
