MATCH REPORT
EXETER 2-4 KEYNSHAM
11th November 1984.
LEAGUE
This being the first time we had met Keynsham this season, was an important game to us, having ensured two points against Cardiff. We wanted to continue our winning streak.
There was no doubt during the first half who was the better side, we put some extremely exciting moves together. Our first goal was well put away by Annie who left the keeper no chance of saving the ball which slotted into the right hand corner. Our second goal was built from the defence and long accurate pass from Mandy L, to Ju T. on the wing, who placed a lovely high ball over to Annie making no mistake she headed into the back of the goal.
Half-time came and went and we knew we could'nt afford to be too relaxed in the second half. However we never really switched back on and it was'nt long before Keynsham took control and pulled back two quick goals.
With everything to play for, we could not seem to step up a gear and hence Keynsham did well to take two more chances we put their way and walked away with two league points as a present.
We will certainly be looking to put that game behind us today and at least play some more creative football.
