Match Report
Annie on the ball
Striker Annie Hesketh grabbed a hat-trick as Exeter Ladies battled to a 4-2 win over Illogan WFC at Wyvern Barracks yesterday.
Exeter were made to fight all the way by the deter- mined South Western League champions. The Cornish girls held Exeter at 2-2 until the last 15 minutes when the Women's Western League side's superior strength and fitness paid dividends.
They went ahead again with a Hesketh penalty and Shelley Trace sealed victory with a long range shot that gave the goalkeeper no chance.
