Exeter cruise home

EXETER LADIES' FC continued their unstoppable form in the Women's West- ern League by beating St Catherine's 11-0 at Wyvern Barracks yesterday.

Exeter were expecting a tough battle against a hard Bristol side but were disappointed at being given virtually no opposition.

St Catherine's turned up with only nine players and were reduced to eight early in the game when former Tiverton defender Terry Purkis limped off injured.

Exeter seized the chance to boost their already heal- thy goal average. Leading scorer Annie Hesketh grabbed four goals, second half substitute Penny Wilson hit a hat-trick, Julie Trott scored twice in the first half, Many Langman and Bridget Thomas completed the scoring.
