The Formation of The Supporters' Trust (2000)
The Exeter City Football Club Supporters' Trust was officially formed on July 5, 2000.
Modelled on the example set by the Northampton Town Supporters' Trust, the Exeter City Trust would soon find itself with 211 members and a fund of £11,000.
While the Trust was originally established to accumulate funds in order to permanently sign loan player Gary Alexander, since 2000, the Trust has since become one of the most respected, and successful Trusts in the country.
