FRAN JOINS THE LADIES

Exeter Ladies' FC include new signing Fran Crispin from Torbay in their side to visit Frome in the semi- finals of the Women's West- ern League Cup tomorrow.

The rangy central defender will add much-needed height and strength to Exe- ter's injury-torn back four.

ANNIE GETS A GOAL

Annie Hesketh scored her first goal for Exeter Ladies FC to earn them a 1-1 draw at Frome yesterday in the Women's Western League Cup semi-final. Her sheer persistence earned her the scoring chance early in the game to put Exeter ahead but they squandered several good chances to put the result beyond doubt.

Frome hit back just before half time but Exeter battled hard in the second half with Fran Crispin having a solid debut in the centre of the defence and Bridget Thomas running tirelessley up front.

The sides must now replay at Wyvern Barracks next month.
