‘Tivvy' halt arch-rivals

Tiverton Town Ladies maintained their challenge for championship honours in championship h the Women's Western Soccer League with a hard-fought 3-1 win over arch-rivals Exeter at Wyvern Barracks.

After a well-matched and balanced first-half Tiverton went ahead within 30 seconds of the re-start through Karen Jones. They increased their lead with goals from Anita Heard and Ness Byrne before Exeter hit back through Thomas.
