LADIES' SOCCER

Exeter City Ladies will start their Western League programme on Sunday with a match against Tiverton Town at Wyvern Barracks.

Despite being beaten 8-0 in a friendly at Warminster a couple of weeks ago, Exeter should collect both points.

They showed much more fight on Sunday, losing only 4-3 in another warm-up match against Plymouth. 

Exeter's goals came from Bridget Thomas, Debbie Turner and Julie Costello.

The Exeter City Ladies' Devon League side were also beaten, in a friendly at Chard on Sunday.
