Exeter LFC 1-2 Tiverton Town Ladies

Western Women's Football League.

Ladies' losing start

A Poor start to the season for Exeter City Ladies football team when they lost 2-1 to Tiverton Town Ladies on Sunday.

Both teams showed ample skill and provided a competitive game for spectators at the start of the season in the Western Women's Football League.

Several members of the Exeter team had joined Tiverton during the close season, so referee, Brian Holmes, needed to keep on his toes during the game at Wyvern Barracks, Exeter.

After seven minutes of the first half, Tiverton scored but at half time the equalising goal was scored by Julie Dunlop.

Early in the second half Tiverton scored from a penalty, putting them 2-1 up for the rest of the match.

The game was not entirely Tiverton's. The home team had much play of the ball but did not make most of the chances.

On Sunday Exeter are again at home, entertaining Chip- penham Moonrakers (kick off 3 p.m.).
