MATCH REPORT
EXETER v NEWPORT
On Sunday 6th of April, Exeter met the Welsh side Newport, here at Wyvern Barracks.
In the first half Exeter went one-nil down after twenty minutes, after a penalty which G O'Connell converted for Newport. Exeter came back after Mandy Langman lobbed the Newport goalkeeper to score, and then went on to skilfully convert a penalty to make it two goals to one in Exeter's favour at half-time. In the second half Exeter seemed to make the most of the pressure they put on the Newport goal scoring another. two goals which were both scored by Penny Wilson.
Karen Griffin was awarded the player of the match after making some brilliant saves to keep us in the game in the early stages of the match.
