Match 08
8th September 2007
Cambridge United (Home)
Exeter City 1-1 Cambridge United
Scott Rendell's second-half equaliser ensured Cambridge earned a hard-fought draw against Exeter at St James Park.
Exeter started well and took the lead when Matt Taylor's long clearance fell to Jamie Mackie and he turned and fired home a rasping shot.
Cambridge responded from Stephen Reed's inswinging corner which was headed powerfully home by Rendell after Leo Fortune-West distracted the defence.
The point leaves Cambridge fourth in the Blue Square Premier table.
