FA Cup 1st Round
Stevenage (Home)
Exeter City 4-0 Stevenage
New Stevenage boss Peter Taylor saw his side outclassed by Blue Square Premier promotion rivals Exeter in the FA Cup.
Wayne Carlisle kept up his fine recent form by rolling the ball in from close range after a Matt Gill long throw.
Things got even worse for Stevenage as defender Mark Arber's poor backpass gave Jamie Mackie a simple finish.
Steve Basham netted from the spot after being hauled down by Luke Oliver and Matt Taylor converted a George Friend cross from the left to seal the rout.
