Salisbury suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat to Exeter City in the FA Trophy first round on Saturday.

The Whites were 2-0 down after 29 minutes through a lob from Jamie Mackie and a piece of opportunism from Dean Moxey after keeper Ryan Clarke's error.

Salisbury improved marginally in the second half but never really looked like threatening the home side.

City extended their lead late on with a penalty when Mackie was brought down in the box and Steve Basham converted.
