So tonight we 'welcome' Torquay and all their Exeter connections back to SJP for the first-leg of the play-off semi final. It was always going to be this way wasn't it? Taking influence from our two previous games this season, great potential exists to play a play-off sweepstake amongst your friends to provide a bit of light relief from what will be two very tense games. Incidents to predict include, just how long will it be before RADA trained Tim Sills hits the deck, Chris Hargreaves readjusts his hairband, Buckle is told to "Sit down, shut up", Lee Phillips looks worn out, Chris Todd makes a dodgy clearance and anyone nearby states 'I can't take it anymore'? Special ones for the away leg can include, how long before an electrician is called, which Exeter player will get the New Year's Day Jamie Mackie treatment and how many hours will it take to leave Plainmoor via the one exit?

For the second season in a row Paul Tisdale has got us to the play-offs, a task made all the more difficult this season by all those who were quick to jump ship after our play-off final defeat. We've had limited resources, lost our best player mid-season and still we're here. All that's left for me to say is

Exeter 1-2 Torquay United

Chris Zebroski's last-minute strike gave Torquay a one-goal advantage over Exeter in the first leg of their Blue Square Premier play-off semi-final.

After Exeter dominated the first half, Torquay went ahead when Lee Phillips' cross was headed home by Tim Sills.

The Grecians' Wayne Carlisle then had an effort ruled out for offside, before he fired a half-volley in to equalise.

But when City keeper Paul Jones blasted a clearance straight at Zebroski, the striker kept his cool to fire home.
