Match 13
5 October 2002.
York City

Exeter City 0-1 York City

Exeter crashed to their third home defeat of the season and have now scored only once in their last three matches after losing to York.

But if they had snapped up just one of the chances they created, it could have been a different story.

Both Justin Walker and Steve Flack went close to scoring but Exeter's finishing was poor.

York, with new loan signing Lee Cook making his debut, took time to get into their stride.

But Cook topped an impressive performance when he rifled in what proved to be the winner shortly before the interval.

He could have had a second late on when he smashed a fine shot against the woodwork.
