BBC match report-
Exeter's winless run extended to four games as they fell to a home defeat against fellow strugglers Bournemouth.
Wes Thomas missed from close range but made up for his error when he put the Cherries in front, curling an effort from 15 yards into the top corner.
Exeter, who have now only scored once in four matches, nearly equalised but Richard Logan's shot hit the post.
Bournemouth's second came when Steve Tully's clearance bounced off Richard Duffy and went into his own net.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon:
"The issue when you're in a spell like us is that you can be fragile and I think that's what we showed today.
"We did very well in the first quarter of the game, total dominance in terms of territory and play.
"We know we're not playing well and the players need to get through this and stick with it."
Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury told BBC Radio Solent:
"We've got quite a few injuries but the lads that came in and played out of position dealt with it very well.
"We're low on numbers at the moment and there are a couple of other lads playing that are carrying injuries so I've got to look at the market again.
"Josh Carmichael has joined us in training quite a few times and he's impressed me with his attitude and how he handles the ball so I thought it was a good oppurtunity to get him involved."
