BBC match report
Goals from Daniel Nardiello and Guillem Bauza gave Exeter their first victory in six games as they defeated Oldham.
Nardiello finished into the bottom corner to end a fine passing move that also involved James Dunne and Bauza.
The Grecians doubled their lead when Scott Golbourne's cross was headed down by Jake Taylor and Bauza powered home.
Home goalkeeper Artur Krysiak made fine saves to deny Mathieu Smith once and Reuben Reid twice, while Zander Diamond also hit the post for the Latics.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon:
"I think we had a very good week's training, and it followed into the game today.
"They tried to come back into the game, they had nothing to lose and we got dragged into hanging on, but we haven't won for quite a while and I forgive the chaps that.
"We started so well, we could have had two in the first two minutes and there was a suspicion of a penalty in the first 30 seconds, to say the least."
Oldham boss Paul Dickov told BBC Radio Manchester:
"We didn't start the game well enough and you always have to take your chances, even at 1-0 down.
"I'm frustrated because we've been beaten 2-0 and I still feel like we should have won the game.
"Their goalkeeper made five unbelievable saves and we should have had two penalties - but that's not an excuse for getting beated."
