BBC match Report
Jordan Rhodes hit a hat-trick as Huddersfield stretched their record-breaking unbeaten league run to 38 games with a thumping win at Exeter.
The Terriers took the lead when Alan Lee finished Jack Hunt's centre.
Rhodes made it 2-0 when he beat Grecians keeper Artur Krysiak to Lee's flick-on before visiting custodian Ian Bennett saved well from Guillem Bauza.
Lee Novak's pass was then lashed in by Rhodes, who headed home Danny Ward's cross for his treble late on.
Victory moves the promotion-chasing Terriers up to second in League One, just one point behind leaders Charlton.
Exeter remain rooted to the bottom of the table with just eight points from 13 games.
Rhodes has now hit 10 goals in his last four matches for club and country, having also got five in two games with Scotland Under-21s last week.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon:
"We had patches of good play, but the scoreline tells the story.
"On a positive note, our season is not going to be judged on today's game.
"It's not going our way. But we have to make it go our way."
Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark told BBC Radio Leeds:
"What they're doing in terms of these away results and performances is astonishing. Keeping clean sheets and creating the chances and scoring the goals we are is fantastic.
"I couldn't be more pleased. They carried on right until the last minute.
"It's all in the preparation, down to the quality backroom staff we've got. People willing to work hard and put the hours in. Everyone is pushing in the right direction. We all know what the goal is and we all support each other."
