BBC Match report –

Exeter came from behind to beat Sheffield Wednesday thanks to two stunning free-kicks.

Jermaine Johnson rifled the Owls into the lead from 25 yards after the hosts could only half-clear a long throw-in.

The Grecians hit back soon afterwards when Billy Jones curled a fine free-kick around the wall and into the bottom corner.

David Noble completed the turnaround with a fine effort of his own that crashed in off the crossbar.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon:

"I think we've deserved something out of the ordinary because we've put so much effort into the games and got little reward for them. We were excellent today and the goals were excellent.

"We're not going to think about who we beat and who we're not we just have to win games and play how we have today. The fact is we need three points every week and we do everything to attain them.

"We had a team today that all met the challenge and it was a tough day, the pressure was on us. We haven't won a game for a while and lost a couple... I want these players to keep playing like they did today which was whole-hearted, purposeful and together."

Sheffield Wednesday manager Gary Megson tells BBC Radio Sheffield:

"I didn't think we were like ourselves. The only threat that we looked like we've got is JJ (Jermaine Johnson) and it's a fantastic strike and as I've said he does look a threat, but a lot of our players at the moment are not playing in the right manner.

"There have been times when we have lost games, but we haven't lost them like that.

"We're second from top and we're not really pushing to kick on from that.

"That was a really important result for us today, before the game kicked off and we've got a few (players) who think they're a lot better than they are and they've got to start shaping themselves up."
