BBC match report –
A Michael Symes brace helped move Bournemouth up to second in League One with a comfortable win over Exeter.
Symes opened the scoring early when he fired in from 15 yards after being afforded too much space by the defence.
Jamie Cureton hit the post for the Grecians before Marc Pugh made it 2-0 with an easy finish from close range.
The result was put beyond any doubt when Troy Archibald-Henville brought down Josh McQuoid and Symes blasted in his second from the penalty spot.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe: "We were patient and defended really well. Whenever we went forward, we looked a real threat.
"We can play better than that. I always want more."
Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon: "It was a tough game but I'm not too unhappy with the team. I know it was a very difficult game and the scoreline doesn't look great but I'm not too unhappy.
"Although it's not a particularly impressive scoreline for us, we're not a bad team overnight and I think the players need a rest more than anything."
