Devon-born Bill Dymond played for Exeter City between 1947 and 1949. He joined the club from Bristol City and later played for Hereford United.
He made his Football League debut for Bristol City during the 1946-47 season, after signing for the club in September 1945, and went on to score once in eight league games.
Moving to Exeter City in June 1947, Bill made a belated debut for the Grecians against his former club on Boxing Day 1947. Remaining at Exeter for two seasons, he turned down an offer to join Yeovil Town before signing for Hereford United, then a Southern League club, in the summer of 1949. His league appearances for City were spread across 17 outings (3 goals) in his first season and 24 (4 goals) in his second campaign.
Continuing to live in Exeter Bill signed for Barnstaple Town in May 1951 and, after residing in Alphington for many years, died in the area in 2004.
