Saturday 29 January 2011.

BBC match summary and information

Swindon began life without leading scorer Charlie Austin with a goalless draw at home to Exeter.

The home side nearly took the lead when Matt Ritchie saw his diving header come back off the crossbar.

Visiting goalkeeper Ben Hamer was at his best to keep out efforts from Ritchie and Jonathan Douglas.

Exeter struggled to create many opportunities, but were unlucky when Ryan Harley smashed a 22-yard free-kick against the crossbar.

Swindon manager Danny Wilson told BBC Wiltshire:

"I thought we deserved to win the game today, we've had enough chances.

"We lacked that instinct of established strikers and we couldn't break them down.

"I thought we played some great stuff, Alan O'Brien was electric."

Referee:- Keith Stroud

Attendance:- 8132 with 951 City fans.
