BBC match report –

Rickie Lambert scored twice as promotion-chasing Southampton came from behind to beat Exeter in League One.

Dany N'Guessan hit the bar early on for the Saints, but the Grecians led when Daniel Nardiello ran onto a long ball and poked home past Kelvin Davis.

Lambert levelled with 20 minutes left, powering home a header from N'Guessan's deep cross.

And the striker won the match in the last minute with another header, this time from captain Dean Hammond's ball.

Southampton Nigel Adkins told BBC Radio Solent:

"Early on we created great opportunities and we didn't taken them.

"We've had to grind away, great credit to the players, we managed to get a better foothold in the game as it went on.

"We've got a good goal at the end, and we got the three points, which is what it's all about."

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon:
"I feel the same way as we did here against Brighton, where at one point we think we have got the game for three points.

"Their keeper made a fantastic save at 1-0 to us, which was possibly the turning point for them.

"The dressing room is silent and to get nothing is very frustrating."
