BBC match report –
Huddersfield boosted their hopes of automatic promotion with a fine second-half display at Exeter.
The hosts failed to make their first-half pressure tell and Danny Cadamarteri made them pay when he rolled the ball under Artur Krysiak.
Cadamarteri set up Gary Roberts who fired home from 12 yards before Krysiak gifted Anthony Pilkington a third.
A 25-yard strike from Kevin Kilbane was followed by an injury-time consolation from Daniel Nardiello for Exeter.
Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark told BBC Radio Leeds:
"I've got four or five players having a go at each other because of their goal at the death so I like that, I like what I'm seeing.
"We had to weather the storm in the first half. The conditions were ridiculous for football, the worst you can imagine, so Ian Bennett couldn't get any distance on his kicks and they put us under a bit of pressure.
"I said to the lads to make sure to get to half-time with the game intact and it would work for us in the second half, and we did that and we scored some superb goals I thought."
