BBC match report –
Exeter moved to within two points of a play-off place by beating Oldham.
Scott Golbourne put the home side ahead with a low drive that clipped the post on the way in.
The Grecians doubled their lead just before the break when John O'Flynn's sliced shot fell to Jamie Cureton, who powered in the loose ball.
Oldham went close when Oumane Tounkara and Aidan White were both well kept out by Ben Hamer in the Exeter goal, but the Grecians comfortably held on.
POST-MATCH REACTION
Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon:
"It's been a tough season and then at the business end of the season to put a string of games together like this is very satisfying.
"We've got more games to come though, so it's all about the next three games now, not the last five.
"The better we do, the bigger the games get so Monday is going to be a big one."
Oldham Athletic player-manager Paul Dickov told BBC Radio Manchester:
"It was chalk and cheese between the first half and second half.
"Second half we a had a right good go, played some really good football and their goalkeeper has made some excellent saves.
"Two mistakes have cost us today and against a good team like Exeter you're up against it straight away."
