Exeter-born Charlie Lincoln played two Southern League games for Exeter City in 1919/20. He later appeared for Torquay Town. 

Charlie had been playing in local football with Heavitree United when Exeter City signed him in the summer of 1919. Aged around twenty, the 5’6” tall winger was to play in just two Southern League matches for City, the first at Gillingham in September 1919 and then at home to Queen’s Park Rangers the following month.

Charlie died in Exeter in 1974.
