Geoff Lewis from South Wales appeared for Exeter City in the interim 1945/46 season when he played six games in the specially-arranged mini-leagues as well as appearing twice in that season’s two-legged FA Cup ties. 

Geoff was stationed locally with the Royal Marines and, having also guested for Everton,  made his Exeter debut in a 5-3 win at Aldershot in September 1945 in the one-off Division Three South (South of the Thames) competition. Making five more appearances in the same competition later in the autumn, he also featured in both legs of the FA Cup tie against Trowbridge Town.
