BBC match report –
Halifax eased their relegation worries by beating Exeter thanks to a late Danny Forrest strike at The Shay.
The hosts edged ahead after Paul Buckle gave away a free-kick and from Felix Bastians' set-piece, Greg Strong struck left-footed from 12 yards out.
Lee Elam hit a post with a header as Exeter threatened and they levelled when Billy Jones scored a free-kick.
But Forrest popped up 11 minutes from time to find the net from the edge of the box and hand Halifax victory.
