Exeter kept their Conference play-off hopes alive after securing a narrow home win against struggling Tamworth.

Lee Elam went close with a close-range effort that was parried by Jose Veiga.

Tamworth came close when Taiwo Atieno headed over from six yards, before Elam's header was again superbly saved by Veiga on the stroke of half-time.

Veiga denied Richard Logan before the home side sealed a deserved win when Wayne Carlisle fired home from close range after Veiga denied Elam's drive.
