Lee Phillips was the Exeter hero as the Conference high-flyers beat Tamworth.
The 25-year-old forward scored the first and played a major part in the second to help the Grecians to their fifth home win this season.
Jon Challinor hit the post as Exeter dominated before Phillips opened the scoring with a fierce low shot.
Craig Farrell tapped in after Phillips had hit the post, making t 2-0, and Farrell repeated the trick when Challinor's header hit the woodwork.
