Exeter made sure they kept in the running for promotion as they hammered Aldershot, largely due to two goals in the closing stages of the first half.

Paul Buckle's composed finish put Exeter ahead before Billy Jones doubled the lead with a penalty after Nikki Bull fouled Craig Farrell.

Challinor added a third just after the hour mark, with Lee Phillips completing the rout from Buckle's lay-off.

While Exeter stay in the promotion race Aldershot remain in mid-table.
