BBC match report -
Ten-man Hereford came from a goal behind to surprise high-flying Exeter.
Second-placed Exeter made the perfect start when Lee Phillips rifled a low right-foot shot past goalkeeper Wayne Brown after just five minutes.
Guy Ipoua drilled home from the edge of the box for the equaliser and two minutes before the break Alex Jeannin curled in a beautiful free-kick.
But referee Nick Kinseley then showed a red card to Ipoua for allegedly making an obscene gesture to the home fans.
