MONDAY 24th AUGUST 1970.
CITY COULD EARN £3,000.

Victory for Exeter City at Swansea in Tuesday night's Football League Cup replay could mean at least £3,000 to the clubThis is the estimate of Exeter's pickings if they go through to meet Tottenham at White Hart Lane in the second round of the competition. This is based on a comparable attendance to when Exeter went to White Hart Lane on 25th September 1968. That night a crowd of 25,798 saw the match. Another trip to London on 9th September 1970 is not as straight forward this time, City still have to replay at Swansea and they must be smarting at not taking their chances the first time at St James'Park.
