Before Exeter could recover, Evans scored a second just a minute later, A heavy sleet store made play difficult in the closing inutes of the first half, Swansea by now had taken over the initiative and deserved their interval lead, After half time City almost equalised when a shot from Fred Binney was deflected for a corner, A 60th minute scramble in Exeter's penalty area ended with Allchurch forcing the ball into the net, but the referee had already awarded a penalty. Thomas made no mistake with the kick, 12 minutes later it was all over for City as Gwyther was left with the simple task of heading the ball into the net for Swansea's fourth goal,

SIX O'CLOCK NEWS BUT HOW MANY WILL LISTEN ?
The attendance record by shareholders at the annual meeting of Exeter City Football Club can be described in recent years as nothing short of pathetic, Only 7 out of 500 shareholders turned up last year. How many will be present on 1st December, for this year the directors for some obscure reason announced a 6 o'clock start for the meeting! This is surely much too early for most shareholders ? One shareholder Mr Ken Baker of Pinhoe says that this is a ridiculous time for the City board to set for a working man to get to the meeting and it looks to his that even fever will be able to attend and what a farce that would be! Imagine it- 4 directors, club secretary, club auditor, player manager John Newman, two Press men, plus Mr Baker ! It is a pity, indeed a disgrace, that more shareholders do not attend Once a year the shareholders are the firing squad and the directors the targets People moan about certain policies or decisions by Exeter. The board are the people to ask at the annual meeting.
