Exeter City have scored only one goal in their last four Fourth Division matches and that was a penalty, City suffered their sixth home defeat of the season going down to Lincoln City who deserved their win. They were the stronger and more positive side of the two. Yet again Exeter started so well, only to fold and be beaten by two goals from set pieces, For the first half hour City had Lincoln under Some pressure, but had no goals to show for their efforts, Exeter lost their momentum and from then on Lincoln looked the more likely to score. They lost thier poise, their build ups became disjointed, and gradually Lincoln stamped their authority on the game, Freeman shot them into a 32nd minute lead, a goal that was at the time against the run of play, One of Exeter's best moves led to a 55th minute equaliser, Kennedy pushed out Fred Binney's shot. Alan Banks was bundled over as he went for the ball and Barry Rowan scored from the spot, Four minutes from the end Lincoln von the game. Kurila's free kick was not cleared and in a scramble Gilliver scored the winner.
