Exeter in scrappy game at Newport

EXETER CITY faced windy Conditions at Newport and play proved scrappy. The crowd of about 2,500 saw Newport create more early chances and Exeter centre-half Giles was lucky to block a shot from Hill. Parker miss-hit a good chance for Exeter and Willams headed over for Newport. Following a free kick Giles tested Macey with a long shot which the goalkeeper turned away from a corner.
