TONY KELLOW sank Oxford's hopes with a goal 12 minutes from time. A sudden break by Ian Pearson allowed the Exeter striker to head home the winner with Oxford pressing hard for a draw. Exeter had gone into an early lead through Steve Neville. Oxford hauled them- selves back when Malcolm Shotton slammed in a 55th minute penalty after Peter Foley had been brought down in the area.
