AFTER a goaless first half Hereford United cut lose to score four goals for the second time in five days to beat Exeter City 4-1 at Edgar-Street on New Year's Day. It was also the fifth time this season that they have beaten visitors by a 4-1 margin in 12 league matches on home territory. Striker Ian Wells put them on the winning trail when he opened the scoring in the 56th minute after Chris Price and Jimmy Harvey had done the spade work. Two minutes later Ollie Kearns bagged Hereford's second after Harvey had hit the crossbar and in the 73rd minute Harvey and Price combined again for John Delve to make it three. Full back Harrower pulled one back for Exeter but Wells scored Hereford fourth in the 88th minute.
