Aldershot moved up to second in the table with victory against Exeter City.

Tim Sills grabbed his 11th goal of the season with a 37th-minute right-foot strike to put the Shots ahead.

Gareth Sheldon and Barry McConnell both went close for Exeter but when Steve Flack deflected a cross into his own goal, Shots looked home and dry.

Exeter striker Sean Devine set up a tense finish when he headed James Coppinger's cross into the top corner.
