Steven Nicholas shot past keeper James Bittner with his left foot late in the game to secure a point for Northwich.

The home team threatened early when Nicholas forced a save from Bittner before Exeter's Leslie Afful was brilliantly denied by Ben Connett.

Exeter took the lead after Mark Foran diverted a cross into his own net from six yards with 20 minutes left.

And Connett denied striker Sean Devine from 20 yards to keep his team in the game before Nicholas equalised.
